Kebba Sonko

I am not only teaching rhythm, I am a rhythmical pedagogue as well. I am an active mandinka sabar player and teacher. The rhythm is the basis of the different activities ranging from dancing to singing and from drama to real life. Most of the African drums are much more than just singing and dancing to. Drums are used for communication, therapy, medical treatment and meditation, just to name a few.

I use drums and rhythms as a special pedagogic and therapist instrument.

I teach technical and methodical ways of playing the Sabar drums for talking and communication.

The Senegambia mandinka sabar are very special and therefore need adequate knowledge in order to play and to make them talk.
